Posted by Kurt MYou may want to do some research on your canadian Eiswein. Some producers simulate the process. By that I mean, they simply pick grapes at their peak (or not necessarily at their peak), artificially freeze them and subsequently process the frozen grapes into Eiswein. While the process not necessarily makes an inferior Eiswein, it does not compare to the quality and dedication a real Eiswein is known for. Artificially produced Eisweins are in most instances much less expensive thatn the real thing.
