I have found a Mehringer Blattenberg Riesling Auslese 1988 on sale for Euro 23.00,resp. US$ 27.50 today. If your wine was stored lying in constantly cool and dark place all the time it MIGHT still be good. One has to consider that Auslese is two quality levels higher than Kabinett, so take that MIGHT as being printed in capital letters and bold...
